Pet Tracker
A US based pet tracker manufacturer wanted a new gen user experience on their web interface for end users and a mobile application for android & iPhone. The pet tracker devices carried a GPS module and a heartbeat sensor. The tracker that paired with a charging dock station over BLE gathered location and heartbeat data periodically and uploaded it to a cloud backend. The end user features included pet profile, activity chart, alerts and notifications if the pet moved out of geofence
The User Experience designers at VeCrear proposed the overall UI/UX keeping in mind the psyche of pet owners and US life style, which won over the heart of the client. The Cloud/Mobile team evaluated the data, usage patterns & proposed UX and decided on a phonegap based hybrid application development to suit both android and iPhone users. The HTML, CSS, JS backend UI was also rewritten to give a pet centric rather than feature centric user experience. The unique activity charts were built using kendo and the applications are integrated with google maps and facebook
