Network Extender
The last mile connectivity of cellular network is a daunting issue across the globe, more so in countries like India that have brick & mortar constructions. A US based telecom product company picked up this problem statement and wanted to build an innovative solution. A first of its kind, single box, plug ‘n play network extender to deliver 5 bars signal strength across the SOHO premise
VeCrear got involved initially in building the echo cancellation algorithms for the digital amplifier, but went to take the entire engineering of the product including Xilinx chipset based hardware design, design & implementation of dual RF modules for Tx &Rx, highly optimized echo cancellation algorithms and their implementation in FPGA, software to control and tune the amplification for the configured frequencies (corresponding to a particular carrier), Telit based device management module and a cloud based backend to provide centralized access to the network extender. A hybrid mobile app was also developed to guide the end customer with the deployment and installation of the product
The Network Extender is being manufactured in India and sold to leading telecom vendors. A few thousand units have been deployed and are operational in North & West India.
