Cell Tower Surveillance
A leading telecom company in Europe wanted to solve the manpower issues and hazards of cell tower inspection by deploying an IoT solution. Along with a drone solutions partners, VeCrear presented the architecture for an end to end fault management system for the telecom client
The solution involves a phased development of drone based solution for cell tower surveillance and integration with the existing fault management system. The road map includes deployment of active/passive sensors for fault prediction and preventive maintenance activities that can be fully automated in a close looped predictive fault management system
The hardware & embedded teams at VeCrear evaluated the drone partner to provide camera based surveillance features as well as remote flight management applications. The Could/Mobile team at Vecrear architected the backend to gather streaming visual data in the form of still and video captures of the cell tower. This team also built the integration interfaces to the telco’s Tibco based fault management bus. The Cognitive Intelligence team at VeCrear was responsible for building/integrating fault recognition software to analyse the streaming data and identify faults in the active and passive components on the cell tower
